Up and coming competitive studio looking to hire an energetic and confident dance instructor who is passionate about dance and wants to share their knowledge and skill to all ages. Must be able to plan and execute classes in Jazz and Tap to preschoolers through advanced levels. Must have current teacher status from a recognized body; for example, CDTA or ADAPT; and be willing to train dancers and complete administrative work for annual examinations. Ability to instruct and choreograph other dance genres is an asset. Instructor must be confident in providing original, creative, and age appropriate choreography. Some administrative duties will be required, including (but not limited to) costume selection, festival entries, and music preparation.
Studio located in Dawson Creek, BC.
25 hours per week, possibility of additional hours dependent on enrollment. Season runs from September – May.
Wage to be negotiated based on experience.
Evening and weekend hours required. Some daytime classes (preschool age).
